Mrs. Self has three Apple computers in the room for the students to use during centers. There is also a very nice projector over the white board so Mrs. Self can show videos to the class from her laptop computer.

The students get to play educational games during centers on the Apple computers.

Mrs. Self sometimes uses Starfall (educational website for kids) to show an educational video on the projector. Starfall has games, videos, and activities for every school subject imaginable!

10/4/11
There is a projector, and a 3M machine. There are also three Apple computers in the back corner of the room where the students play educational games and take their AR tests when they finish reading an AR book.

10/8/11
Mrs. Dickens will sometimes show educational YouTube videos on the 3M machine to allow a different way for students to learn.

10/9/11
Mrs. Dickens encouraged me to find creative activities and lessons on the internet, by using websites such as Google.

Long Branch Elementary has a wonderful computer lab that the students go to as a part of their C.A.M.P. schedule (computer, art, music, P.E.). When they go to computer, they get to utilize and play with all sorts of fun educational websites with games, books, math problems, etc. The students really enjoy getting to use to Apple computers, and I think that it is a great experience for them, especially since technology is so important these days.
